MONTANA

Co-owner / Host / Nutritionist

Meet Montana

Born in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Montana’s passion lies in food, adventure, and pushing her limits—both mentally and physically. A qualified nutritionist, she launched her business, Simply Fuelled, in 2023 to help others make smarter food choices, especially when it comes to fueling for performance.

As a type 1 diabetic, Montana knows all too well the challenge of balancing her health with high-energy activities, but she thrives on it. When she’s not working or cooking up something delicious, you can catch her playing AFL for the Manly Wolves or getting her heart pumping with outdoor adventures—think hiking, swimming, and running.

Her love for all things nature led her to Byron Bay, where she and her partner Alex (her co-conspirator in adventure) spend every possible moment exploring the stunning hinterland. Well & Wild Escapes is a fusion of her love for food, the outdoors, and Alex’s adventurous spirit.

Ready to join Montana and the team for an unforgettable escape? Bring your energy, and she’ll bring the fun.

ALEX

Co-owner / Host / Personal Trainer

Meet Alex

Originally from Brighton in the UK, Alex is all about pushing boundaries and living life to the fullest. Whether it's skiing, snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, hiking, or rock climbing—he's tried it all. His journey took him to Canada in his teenage years, where he became a qualified ski instructor and found his passion for teaching others.

That love for guiding people only grew, and Alex went on to become a qualified personal trainer. Now, he manages a gym in Sydney's Northern Beaches, where he thrives on building a supportive, tight-knit community. There's nothing he loves more than helping people show up for themselves and smash their goals.

When he's not in the gym, Alex is out in nature, exploring new challenges and soaking up everything the world has to offer. Together with Montana, he co-founded Well & Wild Escapes to bring their shared love of adventure, fitness, and good times to like-minded souls. If you're ready to embrace the wild and push your limits, Alex is the one to show you how.

MICHAEL

Breathwork coach

Michael’s journey to breathwork began after a near-death experience at 8 years old, followed by a 20-year career in adventure tourism. As a skydiving instructor for a decade, he saw the link between breath control and staying calm under pressure, sparking his passion for teaching breathwork.

In 2019, a serious injury led Michael to dive deeper into breath techniques, studying methods like Apnea Survival, Oxygen Advantage, and Freediving. Today, he helps people unlock their potential by harnessing the power of breath.

At Well & Wild Escapes, Michael will guide you through powerful breathwork techniques to enhance both performance and well-being. You’ll experience a Surf Apnea session in the pool, learning to hold your breath like a pro, and a guided meditation during an ice bath, where you'll discover how breath can help you stay calm and focused. You’ll leave with practical tools to bring calm, clarity, and resilience into your daily life.
