We recommend having a basic level of fitness to make the most of the experience and really dive into all the adventures. That said, we know that some people might have limitations—whether it’s with swimming or other activities—and we’ve got you covered! Every adventure is designed so that everyone, no matter their fitness level, can enjoy the fun and feel included.
If you’re unsure or feel like you need a bit more clarity, give us a call! We’re happy to chat through any questions and help you feel ready to jump in.
Flights and travel insurance are not included and are your responsibility to arrange.
However, we’ve got your transfers covered! We offer a complimentary airport transfer service to and from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport, with scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs twice daily on arrival and departure days. These transfers are timed around key arrival and departure windows. If your flight falls outside these times, you’ll need to organise your own transport to and from the escape. Don’t worry, we’ll confirm the specific pick-up and drop-off times closer to your escape start date.
We also create a Whatsapp group ahead of your trip, where you can co-ordinate shared transfers with other guests.

We get it—plans change. While no one books a Well & Wild Escape thinking they’ll need to cancel, life sometimes throws a curveball. That’s why we strongly recommend having travel cancellation insurance locked in before booking.
Here’s how it works:
If you cancel...
90+ days before the retreat: Full refund (minus the non-refundable $500 deposit per person + any payment processing fees).
60–89 days before the retreat: 50% refund (excluding the $500 deposit + processing fees).
Less than 60 days before: No refund. At this stage, your spot is locked in and fully committed.
Want to switch retreats instead?
You can transfer to another available escape up to 60 days before your original start date for a $250 transfer fee. Just note that availability is limited, and your original deposit remains non-refundable.
If we need to cancel or reschedule: You’ll be offered either:
– a full refund of payments made (minus your own incurred costs), or
– a credit to use on any other escape within the next 2 years. Your choice.
We’re here to help, but we can’t cover costs like flights, accommodation, insurance, or time off work—so please plan accordingly.

Whether you're flying solo, bringing a partner, or getting the gang together — we’ve got you.
Our escapes are sold by the room, so if you're sharing with a friend or partner, you can simply split the cost per person.
Room options include:
Master room with ensuite (king bed or 2x singles)
Standard room with shared bathroom (queen bed or 2x singles)

Group bookings? We cater to group bookings too — perfect for birthdays, friend trips, or even corporate team-building getaways. You can book the entire retreat (max 8 guests) for a private, tailor-made escape — and yes, we’ll include a cheeky group discount.
Absolutely! Even if you’ve got a few niggles, we’ve got you covered. Our certified instructors are pros at adapting workouts to meet your needs and comfort level, so you’ll always feel safe and supported.
If you feel like you need to skip a certain activity, no worries — take the time to rest, soak in the beauty around you, and focus on relaxation and recovery. We’re all about making sure you feel great while still enjoying the escape!
As always, if it’s a serious injury, we recommend checking with your doctor or physiotherapist before travelling to make sure you’re good to go.
